I’ve been touring the country this winter, 30 plus shows in six weeks, it’s by far the best tour I’ve ever been a part of. Come see Clint Wells rip up some nastastic lead guitar solos, Jeff Irwin take the bass line for a walk, and Evan Hutchings keep those cymbals nice and splashy. Here’s a little ham and eggs comin’ atchya! In other news, I will also be and playing guitar, and singing all of my songs.

I am in Grand Rapids right now writing you all this short blurb. We are looking forward to coming your way, playing zeeeeee rock n’ rolls, and all zeeeee hits songs we have in our magic back of goodie tricks. I would also like to add that Veronica Corningstone and I are dating and are in love… Anchorman, never really gets old, does it?

If you haven’t seen Gran Torino, I would also recommend seeing that immediately, and also You Tubing Bill O’Reilly flips out for a great laugh. I’m pretty sure Ron Burgundy was based on this.

After you do that, come out to our shows. Get your boots on.

PS: When I’m done with this tour I will be home crying myself to sleep every night from the sheer exhaustion of being on the road for two months and then turning right around to go on the Ten Out of Tennessee tour for a month, so if my eyes look red when you make it out to those shows, please, don’t make fun of me. Ladies and Gentlemen,

It’s my pleasure to present the video for "The Guy That Says Goodbye To You Is Out Of His Mind." Yes, the title of the song is grammatically incorrect. It should be "the guy who says goodbye to you is out of his mind," however, when you are making music, bad grammar is usually a good thing.

A little about the video: I recorded my part in one day in Manhattan in the middle of my tour with Xavier Rudd last September. The video was directed by Linus Karlsson. I hope it feels as special for you to watch as it was for us to make. It feels like a great thing to finally have some visual accompaniment to a song that’s been such a huge part of my life for the past few years.

I’ve been working very hard at making my new record. It’s turning out to be the best one yet. Perhaps we’ll get to give you a sneak preview/listen at one of many of our shows this winter. Finally the time has come and ‘The Guy That Says Goodbye To You Is Out Of His Mind‘ music video is ready for you to see so don’t be shy and be sure to check it out!

Come gather round people wherever you roam, And get out for a night from your cozy ol’ home, Christmas is coming, and in Tennessee, The troubadours wait, for T.O.T December the 7th is when we kick off, We like tickets hard not tickets soft, We need your support and we need your voice, I’m basically saying you don’t have a choice, From Herzig, to Dabbs, to Lister to Jones, They’re singing the songs, they’re chilling my bones, There’s Davis, and Boucher, McCarley and Rhoades, These are all names the planet should know, Remember to cheer for House and for James, Like Christmas in Vegas, we got fun and games, I’ll be doing some shows in 2009, But until the New Year, it’s T.O.T time!

I’ve never been to Australia before.  But I think it’s about time.  I’m opening a bunch of US dates for Xavier Rudd this September, who happens to be Australian.  Maybe he will take me with him someday if I play my cards right.

I’d love to see all of you again at these shows.  I’ll be doing them solo-acoustic, I’m guessing the majority of my shows will be with my band after this tour.  So, come out and help me be nice to Xavier.  Australia is calling.
